Every great company begins with a vision — and for Team Roofing NW, that vision came from Jean Paul Seward, a hardworking craftsman who built his career from the ground up.
From Builder to Industry Leader
Jean’s story began in the trades, building windows with his own two hands. Over time, his craftsmanship and curiosity led him to explore other areas of home exteriors — from siding to roofing — gaining a deep understanding of how every part of a home’s envelope works together to protect families and increase value.
As his skills grew, so did his ability to communicate with homeowners. Jean didn’t just sell — he educated. He listened to each customer’s concerns, explained their options clearly, and earned their trust through honesty and transparency. His dedication to helping homeowners make confident decisions naturally propelled him into a sales leadership role, where he trained and mentored others to do the same.
A Lesson in Overhead
After years of success in sales, Jean became the General Manager of a large exterior remodeling company. It was there he gained a valuable insight into the roofing and home improvement industry: overhead costs matter.
The company operated with multiple canvassing teams, a large phone room, and a big staff of sales consultants — all of which drove costs up. To cover that overhead, prices had to increase. Even though the company provided quality work, Jean realized that the extra layers of expense were being passed on to the homeowner.
This realization didn’t sit right with him. Jean knew there was a better way to run a business — one that could provide the same great products and workmanship without the inflated price tag.

With that mission in mind, Jean founded Team Roofing NW, a family-owned company focused on great quality at a fair price.
